Wow! This week has flown by!

There is no reading or spelling this week because we are at TRU all day on Friday!

Friday should be an exciting day for everyone to explore some of the Trade opportunities available as careers. I know everyone will be actively participating!
TRU will be providing all the students with a lunch- if your child is picky or a big eater I have recommended they bring an alternative just in case!

Next week is festival week. We will be performing at the sagebrush on Tuesday (11:30) and Wednesday 9:30. Everyone is working hard and it should be an exciting week!! Please make sure your child comes to school Tuesday and Wednesday wearing ALL BLACK with their hair in a french braid. If your child does not have black shoes black socks will work just fine.

*Parents are welcome to join us at the theater to watch!

Novel Study presentations will be Friday March 10.

Thank you for your continued support!

We have a busy Ski week ahead of us!
There will be no reading or spelling this week as we are skiing Wed/Thurs and Friday is a Pro-D Day.

For Skiing:
Please send your child dressed in layers with a warm coat and snowpants. Students will also need mittens and a hat- a change of socks is often handy also. Make sure they bring water and plenty of snacks. A typical school day lunch will not be enough. If your child is on the lunch program Mr. Hall or Mrs. Griffiths will bring lunches up but your child will still need to bring extra food- they work hard on ski days! If you are bringing your own equipment students also need a helmet. Please make sure boots and coats and mittens are all labeled as things often go missing or get left behind.

Ms. Lee will be skiing with the class so if you have any questions or concerns please let her know. jlee@sd73.bc.ca

This week we will continue to focus on Canada and the provinces, creating a visual map and promotional videos for each province. Next week on Friday we will have a short province quiz- practice those online games!

In math we will be starting to multiply decimals by whole numbers.

Have a great week!

We will be looking at how our brains work, their structure, and how our brains work under stress. We will also be learning about how to handle stressful situations and developing some strategies to help slow our brains down to be better learners.
