Happy Monday!
We have had a great start to our day- choir and soup making with fresh potatoes from our garden. We were in charge of harvesting the garden this year with our little buddies and have enjoyed the delicious produce.

Pod rotations and Gym will continue as usual this week.

Spelling Unit 3 this week.

We will continue our focus on Early Canada in social studies and human rights in music. In Science this week we will start a unit on Electricity.  We will be using a combination of dance, textbooks and hands on centres to explore this concept.

In Math we will shift to textbook/workbook assignments in combination with card games and problem solving activities. Students will be assigned  unfinished work as homework and quizzed on these questions the next day. If a question is frustrating please have your child let me know the next morning so I can find time before the quiz to clear up any misunderstanding. Our theme this week is adding and subtracting large numbers.  Don't forget to keep working on your multiplication facts daily!

We will also focus on writing this week through a listen-draw-write activity. This will help us write fluently and allow me to see where we need to work on grammar and overall structure.

Have a wonderful week!
