Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a restful vacation. From the stories I have heard today it was a fun break from school.

We are off to a running start- jumping right into term 2 topics today. Here is a quick outline of where we will be this term.

Reading- Independent Novel Studies
 *Each student will be asked to have a book at school for this project by Monday at the latest. This novel should be at their current reading level.

Writing- Story writing

Math- Fractions/Decimals/Percentages

Students will continue to work collaboratively using the arts and technology to explore these topics but we will also be working on a few larger independent projects. I will post deadlines on the blog as we move through the assignments.

This week our spelling words are a review of sight words I still find spelled incorrectly in their daily writing.
